Review : CD

Belgian Asociality are a Flemish punk band from the neighborhood of Keerbergen, Belgium.
Very typical for this band are the funny lyrics that are written and sung in Flemish and thus can only be understood by people who speak Flemish themselves.
In 2009, Belgian Asociality are celebrating twenty years of existence with the release of this new CD, as well as a DVD and a lot of gigs.
Singer Mark Voste, who also writes most of the lyrics, and bass player Tom Lumbeeck are the two consistent members throughout Belgian Asociality’s career.
Even if the punkers of Belgian Asociality like to make fun, there is also a lot of social criticism to be found in the lyrics of the short songs, but like I said before: only people who speak Flemish can understand this social criticism and appreciate the humor of Belgian Asociality and I happen to be one of those lucky people.
Guest appearances on “Kabaal” come from Marco (Heideroosjes), Jorunn (Laïs), Quinte (ABN), Luc De Vos (Gorki) and even actress Loes Van Den Heuvel from the Flemish TV-series “FC De Kampioenen” makes a guest appearance.
“Kabaal” contains 20 songs and has a playing time of 42 minutes.
Belgian Asociality play several live gigs to celebrate their twenty years of existence, as well on festivals as in clubs
