Buckcherry, a Grammy-nominated Los Angeles, California hard rock band was formed in 1995. The band released two albums, their self-titled debut in 1999 and 2001's Time Bomb. But in the summer of 2002 they had a break up.

In 2005, vocalist Josh Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson formed a new band under the Buckcherry flag and released an album on 16/04/2006 called 15, which contained the band’s biggest crossover hits to date, "Crazy Bitch" and the band's first Hot 100 top ten hit, "Sorry".

Later on, their fourth album was released (with the help of producer Marti Frederiksen) in October 2008, and was entitled Black Butterfly.
The album itself is proof of hard work and years of commitment. Its spews forth a hail of original guitar solos that got their inspiration from Jimi Hendrix (e.g. too drunk….) and Guns n’ Roses (e.g. Dreams) and it doesn’t feel like a rip off. The riffs are hard rock but more modern witch gives the whole a nice welcome fresh feeling .So there’s a nice variation where everybody will find something they like .
The only downside to me is vocalist Josh Todd who’s voice got a little annoying towards the end of the album.

87/100
