CD REVIEW Buckcherry

Band: Buckcherry
Album title: 15
Label: Eleven Seven Music
Distributor: EMI
Release date: 15/06/2009
Release: CD

Once again, Grammy-nominated Buckcherry returns. The hard rock band (formed in 1995) is about to re-release a new European edition of their album called “15”.
15 first got on the street in 2006 (right after the band got back together after a hiatus) and contained the bands biggest crossover hits to date including “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry”.

The album has a punk feat. rock feeling to it. Like Green Day vs. AC/DC. And that’s where they got their inspiration. The members of the band got in touch via their tattoo guy. It contains lots of classic rock licks and solos and has the “happy” punk thing going on, but after listening “Black Butterfly”(album they released in 2008) I was a bit disappointed. They have done better, and to me, Josh Todd’s voice gets annoying towards the end of the record.

75/100
