Review: CD

With their Relapse-debut, Graves Of Valor, with former Through The Eyes Of The Dead-members, will put its name on the world-wide Death-map. This American quintet combines an ultra-heavy rhythm section with fast and razor-sharp riffs, melodic yet crushing riffs and the most brutal growls and guttural grunts. The sound is massive, the tempo most of the time is lightning-fast and grinding (yet with a few slower parts), the tracks are filled with tempo-changes and blistering breaks, and this extreme USDM suffocates with sardonic pleasure. However, the complete lack of originality and so on, and so on… Recommended to fans of, let’s say, Dying Fetus, Abysmal Dawn, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Ingraved, Suffocation, Deicide and so on.
Total running time: 35:30 minutes.
