Hoods is a hardcore punk band from Sacramento, California and founded by Mike Hood who borrowed his name to the band in 1995. Since then the band build a reputation and became one of the most brutal west coast hardcore bands to this day. After touring America and Europe more than once and existing around 15 years, they earned the title o one of the most hardest working bands out there.

As always I was afraid this was yet another oi oi oi band when I read the word “punk”.
But I was surprised in a good way with opening track “Pit Beast” (also the album title) but then I got disappointed due to song number 2 what was more punk than hardcore, but then again song number 3 was better.
And this ping pong effects last through the whole cd. So it’s a 50/50 on this one. The downside for me on this one is the punk side of the album and due to this “punk vibe” the songs are short witch leads to a 20 minutes album.
