American punk rock band NOFX returns with it’s latest album “Coaster” witch makes number 11 for the Los Angeles, California (now based in San Francisco) group. For fans it’s been a long wait of 3 years since the release of “wolves in wolves’ clothing” in 2006. But now the guys are back stronger than ever to conquer what was their, their place in the top punk bands.

To be honest, I don’t know a lot about punk except The Misfits and “three guitar chord” bands like Green Day. But in punk everything is possible, from power chords to trumpets, and these guys did everything on this album.
Furthermore, the band fights religion on “Blasphemy” and “Best God in Show”, people who don’t like partying ”The Quitter” and “First Call” and found time to even take on bloated corporate executives on ”Suits and Ladders”.
There’s even a time for deep emotion when Fat Mike acknowledges in the lyrics to “My Orphan Year,” about his difficult childhood. No matter how you look at it, there’s no one like NOFX. They’ve led a generation of punks to water, turned it into wine, okay, beer and are or gonna be worshiped like gods.

89/100
