CD REVIEW The Process

Band: The Process
Album title: Vultures of Human Decay
Label: I For Us Records
Distributor: Bertus
Release date: 13/04/2009
Release: EP

Inspired by music and the political climate of today, The Process (a Swedish hardcore punk band) formed to make a crossover between punk and hardcore. With musical influences rooted in well-known acts as Minor Threat and Refused and other bands who expanded the horizons in their day.

The Process aims to elevate their legacy to a new level. Fans will also find fragments of more current elements from groups like Tragedy, Converge, From Ashes Rise, The Hope Conspiracy. The Process strives to give everything they heave, to give the audience a dynamic set, with lots of heights and depts. Unfortunately it doesn’t really show on this EP called “Vultures Of Human Decay”. All the songs are very similar and short, before you know it, you’re already at track 5 or 6 when you think that it’s still only track 2. Luckily that’s the only downside to for this one, so let’s hope there is a full length album in the making and that it’s longer and more variated.

75/100
