Delany is a project, combining the talents of Volker Leeson (Wizard), Lana Lane, David Readman (Pink Cream 69)  and Davy Vain. Most of the songs were written by Volker Leeson together with Davy Vain. But Torsti Spoof, whom you might know from the Finnish band Leverage, also wrote some tracks. Drums were played by Tommy Rickard, while guitars were handled by Jamie Scott (Vicious Rumours, Vain) and Dano Boland (Wizard).

The album is based on the science fiction book Chronicle of The Immortals, written by German author Wolfgang Hohlbein. Since I'm a big science fiction fan, I will try to find me a copy of the book, but in the meantime a short description of what's going on in the book will have to do.

It's a story about two immortals who are searching "The Phantom" in London having heard rumours about a mysterious death. During this search they get entangled in traps set by gangs of street kids, and eventually end locked up in a police cellar, while a big fire razes over London.

The songs are all well written, and with such excellent vocalists, the songs are centered towards the vocals. Not that the instrumental part is second rate, not at all. Production was (flawlessly) done by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69).

I hope this will not remain a one album effort, since this is a superb album.
