The fourth album from Goatwhore who feature the likes of Sammy Duet from sludge kings Acid Bath and vocalist Ben Falgoust from Soilent Green that blasts of immediately into brutal black n’ roll hell with “Apocalyptic Havoc”.

There’s some damn good tunes on here with wacky titles that I dread to think where the ideas came from that include “Reckoning Of The Soul Made Godless”, “To Mourn And Forever Wander Through Forgotten Doorways” and “Shadow Of A Rising Knife”. With a sound reminiscient of Celtic Frost’s To Mega Therion era (though not as commanding) and raw guitar melodies that remind me a bit of Entombed, Venom, Autopsy and the Canadian Slaughter, Goatwhore rumbled through the 10 tracks with a sense of perfect execution.

Erik Rutan produced “Carving Out The Eyes Of God” and he perfectly captures the band's dark intensity. Recommended.
