Band: Ignitor What did we learn from bands like Merciful Fate or Iron Maiden? Metal and opera work together. So Ignitor had to see it for themselves. Ignitor was formed in 2003 by Erika Tandy, Stuart Laurence, Pat Doyle, Pocket Fishrmen, Beverly Barrington and Brendon Bigelow. In the spring of 2006, Beverly Barrigton left the band and was replaced with Annah Moore. In mid-2007 both Tandy and Moore left the band to pursue other interests so Beverly Barrington rejoined the band in January 2008, Jason McMaster took the vocal duties in late 2008. The album is not what we are used to, this is something you love, hate or think it’s an awesome concept but nothing more. Although brilliant musicianship, it lacks power in the rhythm guitar section and because of this, It’s like they just don’t get to the apotheosis of the real opera feeling. 86/100 Jeroen. |
