Band: Zero Illusions If you think of Gothenburg Metal, you immediately think of bands like “In Flames” and “At The Gates”. But these guys have a mission to prove that Sweden can produce other genres of metal than some form of death metal or power metal, but rather heavy metal with modern elements. The album itself is a good example of musicianship and also that people don’t have to be stereotype. But to be honest the album misses balls, it doesn’t make an impact and becomes boring toward the end of the disc. At that point you can’t tell if its still song 2 or song 10 because the songs sound very similar. Still I believe in these guys and hope to hear from them in the future with better material. 75/100 Jeroen. |
