Band : Darkest Dynamite What do you get when you mix-up Metallica, Guns N’ roses, Pantera and Sepultura? ‘The Astonishing Fury Of Mankind’, the smashing debut of the French Darkness Dynamite. The last couple of years it became clear that something’s growing in France and this shows that it really going very well over there. This is what we call spot on. After releasing an ep they showed the singer the door and replaced him with Junior Roderiguez. What a powerful pair of lungs does this guy have! He can do it al. Sometimes he screams to roll right in to a very clean vocal that’s at least as powerful as the voice of Ronny James Dio. It gives you goose bumps for sure. Songs like ‘Hell Eve late’ and ‘Chasing Inside’ go by like a TGV and even in the slower parts Darkness Dynamite sounds impressing. To label these guys as heavy would be an understatement. They just roll over you. Listen to the title track and you know what we’re talking about. With darkness dynamite, Metal Blade signed a very promising act that will show that France is a country where metal lives! 85/100 Stef Maes. |
