CD REVIEW Grand Tuner

Band : Grand Tuner
Album Title : Sould Out
Label : Nasoni
Distributor : Clearspot
Release Date : May 2009
Review : CD

The style is very much based on late 1960s-early 1970s music, primarily garage rock and psych acid rock. However Grand Tuner inject that particular sound with a healthy dose of adrenaline as they deliver all the soul and fire that was good about this type of music and they thrust it out there with pure grit and surging grooves This is down and dirty rock'n'roll music with an edge and plenty of heart and it sounds like the band is having a good time

Featuring ex-members of bands such as Sould Out and Johnson Noise you know this is gonna sound like it was written and recorded in a garage or on the street somewhere ... and it does ... but it's all part of its unique charm. Imagine the The Stooges, Sonics, The Nomads, The Buzzcocks, Rose Tattoo and Motorhead on one bill, and that kind of sums up the range explored by Grand Tuner.
