The Devil Wears Prada, is an American Christian metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio. They are currently signed to Ferret Records. The band derives its name from an anti-materialistic mindset as stated by vocalist Mike Hranica in several interviews upon the subject. If you’re standing in front of God , he doesn’t care if you are wearing prada of nike.

It all started in 2005 when the band released a demo entitled Patterns of a Horizon followed by a full length album entitled “Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord” in 2006. This together with a third album called Plagues (2007), and already having played on the Warped Tour have made the band more determined to make another record. And here we are just a couple months in 2009 and the new cd is already out. Filled with equal parts of slithering metal riffage meshed with plush rock passages all of that in combination with synth sounds and harsh/melodic they created a much heavier and more epic record then all the previous albums together. This album will make a lot of new fans and I’m proud to be one of them

So if you’re in to bands like Forever In Terror, Saosin and Still Remains, Then you have to hear these guys latest album “with roots above and branches below”.

80/100
