Band : Black Dahlia Murder It looks like the dvd-releases come in a swarm these days. A double disc is almost standard. They all have live shows, a road movie and a history of the band. The live part is mostly fun and on disc 2 of ‘majesty’ that’s just what the boys of Black Dahlia Murder give us. It isn’t a real live show. The sound of a live recoding is mixed into images of several gigs and to be honest, it comes out great. A bit live a live video clip that bands make for MTV. On the first disc we get an 2 hour plus documantry that, you guessed it, gives us a history of the band. The fun thing about that is that they do it in only 54 seconds. They tried to do it initially in 30 second but that was a little less. Anyways, we like this apoached and al the other stuff gives us an image of 5 guys that realy like to have fun. Fun being: drinking beer, Jägermeister, smoking weed (lots of it) and go wild on the road. It even includes some hilarious shots from the Pukkelpop Festival 2007. The extra’s come in the form of 7 video’s they shot. You get you’re money worth and a pretty good picture of what Black dahlia Murder stands for. Telling you that it’s a must to run to the shop and buy this is maybe to much credit but we can’t deny that we had a very pleasant 4 hours watching this. 80/100 Stef Maes. |
