Band : Architects Last year, I was lucky enough to get the 2008 re-issue of this British MetalCore band’s sophomore album Ruin on my to-do list. Besides the fact that the album was received very warmy indeed at Casa Tony , and in the meantime I was indeed able to secure copies of all of the band’s records for my personal collection! Anyway, to make a short story long…hahah, a long one short, of course…the review posted 06/08/2008 is where you can find all relevant history of the band! Having recorded the new album (with producers Ben Humphries and John Mitchell, the latter also mixing the album – studio report video footage was posted at the band’s MySpace page, by the way), the Bristol quintet hooked up with Suicide Silence, Emmure, Beneath The Massacre and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza for a tour in the US, then jumped aboard the European Never Say Die! Tour with Parkway Drive, Unearth, Dispised Icon, and others. At this very moment (that’s January 2009) the guys are again on a comprehensive tour of the UK with Misery Signals, whom they will be allying with again in April for the 10-date Through The Noise tour of continental Europe (one of the shows will be at Belgium’s Groezrock in Meerhout on April 18)…which will also feature Bane, Comeback Kid, and Outbreak. As early as October 13, the band had one of their new songs (“Early Grave”) aired on BBC’ Radio 1, and got overwhelming response. Along the way to the release, they posted two songs (“Follow The Water” and “We’re All Alone”) off the upcoming album on their MySpace page, which I urge you to check out a.s.a.p., if you hadn’t done it yet! Whatever, my retail copy of the album is already ordered…and this time I get to nominate the album into my “Best Albums Of 2009” list! 98/100 Tony. |
