Band: Ashcorn I’m not sure what to do with Visions For Your Instinct, created by the Italian quintet Ashcorn. The album sounds fresh and poppy, very MTV-ish, mixing classical elements with mechanical ones. The predictable symbiosis of modern Metal / Metalcore and catchy Heavy Rock is filled with electronic and industrial sounds, semi-acoustic and / or progressive parts, as well as some punkish and rock ‘n’ rolling rhythms and shouts, and a lot of variation in tempo, heaviness and emotion. In a way there might be some specific musical connections to Fear Factory, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Machine Head etc, yet Ashcorn do certainly not reach the same level of those highly acclaimed bands. 50/100 Ivan Tibos. |
