Review : CD
“I Hope You Don’t” is the debut full length album of the Flemish alternative rock band Milk The Fish.
The five piece line-up was formed in 2003 in Affligem, Belgium. In 2005 they released the demo “Boners & Bunnies”, which was followed by an EP in 2006. In November of that same year, Milk The Fish even won the Demopoll of the Flemish radio station Studio Brussel.
To resume in a couple of words what you can expect from Milk The Fish:
up-tempo rock with from time to time a punky edge to it. But every song sounds a lot like the previous song and the weak production is really a disadvantage.
Back to the rehearsal room guys. And that will probably be with a new singer, since a recent message on the band’s website indicates the departure of original singer Kristof Vanhoorebeek.
“I Hope You Don’t” contains 11 songs and has a playing time of 39 minutes.
Milk The Fish play live at the Moonzoo Night in Huy on October 17th 2009.
