Europe has some fine places and that even count’s for it's metal that it produces. Although we unfortunately don’t have a Bay Area Thrash scene, but we have a Swedish melodic death metal scene we could be proud of. Bands like In Flames or At The Gates all come from that area. And in a sort of strange way this kind of music from their has never really let me down but always sounded interesting and just cool.

Also coming forth from this area is the veteran band called Skyfire. Already 4 demos and EP’s and having 3 (this being their fourth) studio albums under their belt. With this they one again show their stuff and heritage as a band from Sweden.

It al starts with a beautiful intro on piano (the same piano than comes back on other songs) that more sounds like something gothic Cradle of Filth like but in song number 2 they blow those thoughts out of your mind. Brutal metal variated with beautiful melodies on this one that’s definitely worth checking out.
