Band: Antigama Polish Grind-outfit Antigama returns with their newest full length, about two years after the release of Resonance. The band has always created a pretty unique sound, or better: not once this formation tried to be ‘average’ or ‘just another Grind-band’. This results in a very technical approach, adding some neo-voivodian riffs and lots of tempo-changes, blast-eruptions and Mosh-injections. But, again, the sound quality makes me sick. The drums, for example, sound as if they were recorded within some filthy container, and the mix (read: equilibrium between the different instruments) reeks of baby vomit. That’s a real shame! Listening before buying; probably recommended if you’re into, for example, Nasum, Pig Destroyer, Cephalic Carnage, Psyopus or Discordance Axis. 70/100 Ivan Tibos. |
