Review: CD

The Severed Inception is Sweden’s Inevitable End’s Relapse-debut, having duration of thirty four minutes. The quartet brings a mixture of slightly Swedish-oriented Death Metal with, especially, influences from the American scene, and more specific the more brutal and technical USDM-scene. The tempo varies a lot: from pretty slow over mid-tempo to fast, with several furious Grind-assaults. The complete lack of originality gets excused by the interesting craftsmanship and strong compositions, but on the other hand I’m afraid this album will be excommunicated by those who can’t appreciate such a shameless Suffocation / Origin / The Red Chord / …-plagiators. But if you can appreciate same-minded bands, and if you won’t be too narrow-minded while reading this excellent thesis (or while listening to this recording), then you know what to do…
