Death metal band Ichor from Trier (Germany’s oldest city), was founded in April 2008 by members of other established local bands who wanted to try something ells in this side project. It was their ambition to make pure death metal that mixes technical, melodic and modern elements.
In a world where Death metal and grind core is becoming more popular, Ichor isn’t the smallest fish in the pound, but it’s not that groundbreaking either. It has great vocals and screams that can compete with more popular bands these days and instrument wise the band has a lot of potential.
But for some reason it doesn’t really grab you by the throat. I think this is more for a true lover of death metal that the average headbanger.
