Danko Jones is a three-piece hard rock band from Canada. The band consists of Danko Jones (vocals/guitar), John Calabrese (bass guitar) and Dan Cornelius (drums).When the band formed in 1996, they played consistently for two years in and around the north-eastern United States and Canada.
This being record number 13, the guys have a good foundation and know what they’re doing. And that’s what they deliver. Hard rock but leaning towards a happy feeling kind of rock. Not bad, not bad at all, something you can put on at any given time. Certainly a nice change from all the bands that are competing to be the loudest and meanest. But due to the “happy feeling” I miss some strength in the whole picture, that factor that makes you go mad and scream out loud when you would see the band live.
To be honest I miss some soloing, there are solos on the record don’t get me wrong but I think after 12 albums they could have done more.
