Almost the only info I could find about this band is that the vocalist, Austin Carlile, formerly sang in Attack Attack!, a band supposed to be a technojunkcore band, but (luckily) also a band I've never heard of before.  Of Mice & Men on the other hand is supposed to be a crabcore band (they keep on inventing sub-genres out of nothing it seems).

Well, enough said about the info, let's talk about the record itself.
Sadly for Of Mice & Men, but there's not much to be said about the album.  It seems as if all tracks are similar, meaning they keep on repeating themselves.  There's not one track that really stands out from the rest.
Musically it's not too bad, but vocally it's intolerable cruelty.  If like me you've grown up with groups who had a fantastic vocalist, I'll name but a few Marillion - Fish  period, Journey,  Iron Maiden - Bruce Dickinson period etc. this kind of singing drives me mad.  And then to say that he proves he can sing on the softer parts, but do you reallly have to growl, grunt, shout the rest of the time.

No, this is definitely a band that does not go well with me.

45/100
