Trubador comfortably wraps itself in the sounds of the Led Zeppelin/Alice In Chains-era. The self titled album is diverse and uniformly good, spanning funk, hard–edged riff–rock, grunge and sweetly mushy a little bit cheesish balladry Guitarist and co-songwriter Marcoe Stone plays some great solos and has lots of guitar melody throughout. The riffs sizzle and the same Marcoe is in very good vocal-shape, and there is more than enough energy, emotion, chops, and songwriting power to keep things interesting. While I enjoyed this for the most part, after several listens my interest for the band wandered off. The songs are too long,

The acoustic grunge rock feel of some of the songs will not suit everyone's tastes, but the songs are affectingly catchy and retain their strength over repeated listens.

80/100
