Band : Bones Of Freedom With World Domination I, this Swedish power rock quartet manages to bring their riffs and ear-piercing vocals into the new century while clinging to their retro classic rock influences. The lyrics are in keeping with what one expects from a hard rock band. At times sounding like a mean, tougher, ZZ Top/ Montrose/ Zeppelin there are also faster moments such as "Wolf" and “Greed” that nod a bangin’ head to the world of early Accept. My only complaint is that several of the tracks sound a bit too much the same and they could use more guitar solos but that does not mean I did not like the stuff. What can I say? Just keep in mind that true originality is not going to exist on this disc anywhere. World Domination I is a solid and hard-rocking album, nothing spectacular but good enough to survive in these times of average mass-releases. 82/100 Cosmicmasseur. |
