Band: Divine Lust Portuguese band Divine Lust came to life in 1998 at the moment of their first live appearance. Since then, they’ve done about half hundred shows from witch some of those on the same bill as references to the band and this musical genre itself, namely Anathema in 2001, My Dying Bride in 2002 (when they recorded and released their debut album) and a short Iberian tour with To/Die/For and Beseech in 2006. 2008 was the release of their second album called The bitterest flavour.
If you see the bands they toured and performed with, you surely can expect Melancholic Metal with elements from doom metal witch of course gives it that special atmosphere witch you either love or hate. But the cool thing about this genre is that it has a timeless feeling to it. Even if the record is 2 years old, it doesn’t feel that way. Sounds original, not everyday like and lots of cool riffs, grooves and atmospheres going on. But like I mentioned, this genre is either love it or hate it. 71/100 Jeroen. |
