Korn is an American nu metal band that was formed in California in 1993. The current band line up includes four members: Jonathan Davis (vocals), Ray Luzier (drums), Fieldy Arvizu (bass) and James “MunkyShaffer. The band was formed after the disbandment of another band called L.A.P.D. due to the singer's drug addiction. The rest of the band wanted to continue, and so recruited guitarist Brian Welch and started a band known as Creep. One thing led to another and soon in 1993 Korn took it’s final form and that same year they released their first demo album called Neidermeyer’s Mind. Followed a year later with their first debut album called Korn. So yes they do have a rich history to tell, 9 albums and several line up changes. Ironic isn’t it? Their first album called Korn and than this one called Korn 3….

But ironic or not, it doesn’t sound the same. I pulled up some classics after listening this album so I could compare old with new. What isn’t always a good thing, but due to the fact that I’m not a big fan or actually know a lot of songs made by them, it seemed the best thing I could do. Conclusion is that overall the lyrics and style seem to be in the same style (what is a big achievement after so many years). One big difference everybody will notice is the guys tweaked their sound a bit, it sounds cleaner. Not muddy and lots of bass like they used to sound. So overall a good album, definitely worth a listen.
