Already the second effort by Italian band Matercastle after their 2009 release of The Phoenix, and a good release it is.

I had not heard of this band before, and I must say I'm impressed by the vocals of Giorgia Gueglio. Powerful, yet very clear, without overdoing it, or without wandering of toward a more Gothic style.  No, this is pure heavy metal at its finest. On top of that, so to speak the cherry on the cake, she does not have an noticeable Italian accent at all. Guitar work on this album is extraordinary as well, just like the songs themselves. I never was bored while listening to this album. It's powerful music, but without power overtaking the harmonious part. There are also two instrumental songs on this album, and that's where Pier Gonella is the star of the show if you ask me.

Definitely an album that's worth buying if you're a metal fan.
