The abundancy of live albums coming out these times is staggering.  Now it's Primal Fear's tour to deliver their opus. In this case however you've got to give them credit. They have already released eight studio albums, some EP's and singles, a best-of album and one DVD, so this is their first official live album (OK, on the The History Of Fear DVD there is a live registration of the Black Sun tour and of the Wacken Open Air Festival 2001, but that's about it).

The album - and I really mean only the CD, because there's a second version that includes a DVD, and is called 16.6 - All Over The World was recorded in Atlanta USA. Primal Fear's music can best be described as balancing somewhere between classic NWOBHM and contemporary metal, with a very big penchant towards Judas Priest. Just listen to Ralf Scheepers’ vocals, compare these to vintage Rob Halford and you'll know what I mean. I just wish I could have gotten the DVD as well, cause judging by the CD alone, this gig or these gigs must have been pretty good.

Not bad for a live album, but in the meantime you probably know that I've got some problems with live albums, I mean I'd rather buy a studio album and go out to see the band live, than buy the live album.
