Sister Sin is a female-fronted "old-school heavy metal” band from Sweden, Gothenburg. The band formed in 2003 and tried to got big by releasing various recordings via smaller indie labels. They came out with their first non-indie debut in 2008 via Victory Records. The record was called Switchblade Serenades and reached a lot of attention in the US.

2 years later, the band is about to release their second album called True sound of the underground. A very bold statement indeed, but upon hearing the record, you’ll notice why this is their record title. To give you a better idea to what they sound like, you can compare them to bands Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P. and other 80’s hard rock bands. And although similar and not really original, it is great music. It has some minor flaws here and there but still, wow. Definitely worth giving it a listen.

Just alone for the fact of the very talented and skilled female vocalist witch is very rare these days.

89/100
