Band : The :Egocentrics This 4-song (48min) album comes to us via Timosoara, Romania. Love Fear Choices And Astronauts is The :Egocentrics’ first full-length, and they do show promise but give or take an album or two and these guys will show their true potential. It's mostly instrumental and tends to meander quite a bit. There are diverse spacey, highly psychedelic elements which are also involved in the building of The :Egocentrics’ structures. The song structures are loose and squelch with feedback, distortion and manic playing. Built around force, technicality and groove Brenn (g), Jess (b) and Hera (d) rarely lose the listener and that deserves good marks. Inventive music that keeps us alert and wanting more from start to finish. Recommended for fans of 35007, Monkey 3, Colour Haze, Earthless, Mammatus, Causa Sui,... 92/100 Cosmicmasseur. |
