Band: Clonecircle Coming from Denmark is Clonecirckle and was originally founded by Morten Sandberg and Martin Hellgren in 2002. Originally it began as a studio project but soon it was clear that they wanted to put some more time and effort in this project and in time it became bigger and bigger. Unfortunately like a lot of other bands these days, they don’t put a lot of information out on the web to learn more about them or their music. One thing is certain, the band’s name actually gives away witch genre of music the make, you can call this style "gothic industrial metal". It is mostly metal but with strong influences from both gothic culture and industrial electronics. You can compare them to bands like Celldweller, Deadstar Assembly and work from Marilyn Manson. This is a genre you either like or hate. The vocals sound dull and always in the same way giving it a hypnotizing effect. Instrumentally everything works together but has a mind-numbing feel to it (this is due the industrial elements). So this is definitely not going to be liked by everyone. Now I’m definitely not a fan of the genre (really not) but to be objective, the songs are ok and as work together for the bigger picture. 82/100 Jeroen. |
