Eisregen, a German Death/Black Metal band witch has some melodic moments in their music. The band saw first light in 1995.

In English, Eisregen translates to “Ice Rain”. But by using morbid German lyrics unlike those of other bands in the genre, the German authorities indexed at least three of their albums. riginally Eisregen planned to disband after releasing a final album called Menschenmaterial, but can’t seem to stop shocking people and announced a new album (that is already out by now).

Most people will absolutely make a direct link with other German shock band Rammstein. But where Rammstein more jokes about everything and do it for the show, these guys take it more seriously. Like slayer but in German (and Black/Death Metal version). That is the one downside, everything in German. A lot of people who don’t speak the language will probably let the record pass, what is a pity if you knew there is a lot of variation/ melodies/ atmosphere in the songs.
