Band: Burden Man Of No Account is a two-track release, available on MCD as well on vinyl, and it can be considered as a warming-up to their upcoming full length, which will be released in Autumn this year. The guys are currently working on it at the famous Kohlekeller Studio – think: Crematory, Winds Of Torment, Agathodaimon, Bluttaufe, The Burning etc.
Both tracks, The Slag. The Drag. The Misery and Man Of No Account, combine somewhat sleazy late-eighties / early-nineties Rock (with a subtle Seattle-attitude), with elements from Sludge, (Traditional) Doom and Stoner. The pounding energy is marvellous, the tempo-changes and hooks are modest yet punctual, and the spirit behind it is honest and convincing.
In spite of the no-nonsense approach, the technical elements are of a high quality. Enough for now, I look forward to listen to, and to review the debut full length in a half a year. Until then, I salute you… --/100 Ivan Tibos. |
