Yet another band that I’d never heard of before.  They come from Melbourne – Australia and were formed in 2008.  Up to now they only released a free digital EP.

What do they sound like?  Well it’s Melodic Rock and AOR, played to perfection.  This is stuff that would have scored very good in the heydays of the genre, back in the eighties and early nineties. They sure know their classics, and that’s exactly what you’re getting as a matter of fact.  They add nothing new to the genre.  Most songs are mid-tempo, and no song really stands out, and that’s really a pity.  It’s all played and sung to perfection, but it lacks a bit of balls. I do wonder how they ever came up with this name, because if you Google their name, you land on tons of sites that have actually nothing to do with music.  It turns out White Widdow is a very popular marihuana strand….

Not bad for a debut album, but some more variation on the next one might do the trick.

70/100
