As Mob Rules was founded in 1994, 2009 means they celebrate their 15 years of existence.  Since their founding they have been rather succesfull, and have done many tours and played many festivals, but lacked a real breakthrough.  Why this hasn't been the case so  far I do not understand.

Following their previous album Ethnolution A.D., which was well acclaimed they now bring out their seventh studio album Radical Peace. At first glance you might think: What, only seven songs on this album ?  What a rip-off.  Of course that's not true.  Remember Dream Theater?  Do they always have ten or more songs on their albums?  I don't think so.

As a matter of fact I would say, yeah, there are only seven songs on the album, but what a quality and diversity.  And not only are the songs on themselves very good, but they also treat a variety of themes you wouldn't immediately associate with a power metal band.  No lyrics about dragons, but down to earth themes.
As for the musical variety in the songs, there's power, there's a bit of sympho, lots of keyboards, but also a very good rythm section, not to forget some killer solo's.
