Band: Mutiny Within Their name says it all. Mutiny Within (within metal). Shred with clean vocals, a little bit of screaming, metal riffs, accessible parts and a lot of melody. That’s how this Las Vegas based band describes their music and with this formula they want to reach not only the metal community but also others out there. Although a cool concept, not a very original one. You can hear influences from genres like hard rock, glam, power and heavy metal and it works. But it’s a double, although it has a certain feeling to it and the songs don’t sound like a cheap copy, certainly not due to the powerful frontman Chris Babbitt.
But in some way I can’t seem to really like and enjoy it. It feels like it misses something real, like they are playing and singing about subjects they now nothing about. Butt I have confidence in this band, give them a couple years to mature and THEN they are really going to impress people. 78/100 Jeroen. |
