Band : On The Rise Hey I thought, when I first entered this CD in my player. What's this ? Sounds a bit like The Outfield's - Play Deep time. But the second song is from a different vein, as are the others. Time and time again The Outfield pops up again, but never to break completely through. On the other hand you do get the impression to listen to a sort of Toto clone, yet this also is not completely true. There's also some Boston and even some Nelson in it. What's nice about this album is that the greater part of the songs are up-tempo, which is not always the case on other AOR albums. There's but one song that's not really my cup of tea, and that's the acoustic ballad "Edellyn" which becomes boring after a while. Conclusion: another great release for Frontiers. 78/100 Erik Morren. |
