Siegfried is an Austrian Heavy Metal band that was founded in 1998 by Bruder Cle, Daniel Bachmaier (ex Sarcasm Syndrome), Ortwin, and former Sandra Schleret.
The year 2000 marked their debut with the release of a demo called Fafnir. This however got them signed to Napalm Records and led to releasing their first album Drachenherz in 2001. A second album called Eisenwinter was released in 2003. And just a couple months ago they released number 4. Now if you don’t know this band there is something you have to know. Siegfried is a concept band al the lyrics are based on and inspired by the Nibelung Saga (you can compare it with The Lord Of The Rings) and that’s how it sounds.

Like a movie (soundtrack), it has different passages, different tempos and different moods but in a black melodic symphonic metal coat. It’s concept is original and has potential but I recon that it’s not for everyone. If you either like it or hate it, due to it’s wide range of diversity, it is one of the few albums that really draws attention from start till end.
