Band : Missing Tide Missing Tide consists of three members from Royal Hunt and one from Manticora. So it's clear that they already have proven what they are capable of. They joined forces in 2007 to form Missing Tide. I Knowing their background, this album is more or less exactly what I'd expected it to be. A fine balance between hard rock and almost power metal.
If you're familiar with the music Royal Hunt plays, you might be a bit surprised, cause at times this stuff is a lot heavier, and no mistake, I'm not complaining about it. Especially the bass guitar produces a constant driving sound.
There's a good mix between fast, mid tempo and slower songs on this album. All songs are decent quality, nothing out of this world, but I was not able to find a bad song either. At times I'm reminded of old Accept, or even early Helloween. I guess fans of these groups might give this a try. 75/100 Erik Morren. |
