Brazil will be forever known for it’s many football legends, salsa and the almighty Sepultura. Although there have been other Brazilian bands, but none of them could come close to Max and co. Going for the try is this all-new band Painside.

This is 5 headed band on witch you really cant find a lot of info about. The little bit I could find actually sums up everything about hem. Painside makes metal in a combination of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Disturbed. And to be honest this is one of the few self proclaimed “sounds like” that actually is true. From start to finish, upon hearing this album, I can imagine Bruce Dickinson singing alongside Disturbed. I know that that combination sounds a bit weird, but it works better than what it probably should, and gives the band a very unique sound with high pitch vocals, guitar riffs interchange between down-tuned chugs and dual guitar lead attacks straight out of the NWOBHM movement. As a result there isn’t really a weak (or weaker) song on the album and makes you wonder why they aren’t more popular or more known around here than in Brazil. There they had the honor to make a song featuring Sepultura drummer Jean Dolabella (drums) For a UFC fighter (a cage fighting organization). Unfortunately that song isn’t on the album I received to listen.

If you look over this little downside, you’ll find a good album, but keep in mind that it’s probably not going to be for everybody due to it’s not so ordinary style.

86/100
