The more I listen to this Californian doom band the better it is and the more I fall in love with them.

“Eastern woman” builds on a simple but effective main riff, while "Into the sun” shows off a bouncier, faster side of the band with licks worthy of the great Trouble. The short “Son of misery” recalls “Planet caravan” with its epic bass/guitar intro. Theo Mindell has complete control of his vocals and they just hang in the air, waiting for you to pick up on them. ”No one makes a sound” is just sublime, just jumps straight out at you. They add a touch of the past (Sabbath, Buffalo, Dust) to their grooves but make it sound very catchy and actually fresh. Each song is well-written and precisely performed, leaving one with little doubt as to the skill of this new US doom outfit

Keeping an eye open for a full-length album from these guys in the near future, the four tracks contained herein should wet your appetite for what this band will soon offer through their first full-length disc.
