CD REVIEW Human Demise

Band : Human Demise
Album title : The Odditorium
Label : WTF Records
Distributor : WTF Distro – Sonic Rendezvous
Release date : December 2009
Release : CD

Sounds quite impossible, but seek as I may, I haven’t found any info about this Dutch band what-so-ever, except the fact that they delivered their first officially recorded tracks on a split 7-inch with Worth The Pain earlier in 2009 through the young Dutch WTF Records label (having started somewhere in 2007, this is only their 6th release to date, 2 of which on 7-inch vinyl). Apparently the Hardcore act then still included guitarist Paul in the line-up. He’s since been replaced by Jeroen, whom joined guitarist Willem, lead singer Maurice, bassist Jasper, and drummer Paul in their pursuit of playing their somewhat dark metallically twisted Hardcore!

Maurice has a somewhat screamy voice, which gets occasional grunts as a backing…something which goes together well with the somewhat ominous threats that ooze from the overall fast-paced music. The label recommends this album to people into the likes of Holy Terror, Pulling Teeth, Integrity and Ringworm…and knowing only the two latter, that’s how far I can agree with ‘em. As far as you finding any audio from this band on the Internet, I wish you good luck (hey, perhaps the situation’s been altered since I looked last, but I couldn’t even find the album on Amazon.com)…and in  case any of the above are to your liking, I strongly suggest you try and check Human Demise’s digipack album at your local record store!

90/100
