Band : Mastedon What more is there to say about this masterpiece, originally released in 1989, and which has since been long out of print.
Now more or less coinciding with the new release by Mastedon, Frontiers grants us a reissue of this eighties original, but with some added tracks, among them even some very rare live tracks, rare, because Mastedon's live performances are very rare. Now even twenty years later this album does not sound dated. It's still as good as it was when it first came out. OK, the tracks have been remastered, but if the original hadn't been good I doubt they could have make them sound this good. Of course the original line up for this album was one to be counted with. Not only John and Dino Elefante, John being famous for taking over Steve Walsh's job in Kansas, but they were joined by Dava Amato (Reo Speedwagon) and other artists. 85/100 Erik Morren. |
