Band : Vendetta Second effort by this British band from Newcastle, some two years after their previous and first release Tiranny Of Minority. Not having heard this previous release I can't compare its predecessor to this, so I'll have to start from scratch. As a matter of fact this is pure traditional heavy metal - eighties British school. You can hear traces form Saxon, and maybe not often enough there are some hints of Iron Maiden.
The vocalist Edward Box does a good job, but lacks a bit of power in his voice. Guitar work is superb, with some good twin guitar solos.
I do have a remark about the production though. It could have been a lot greasier than this. At times it sounds a bit thin. At the end of the line : a good effort. Now maybe with a better production it could even have been better. Who knows, maybe their next release ...??? 70/100 Erik Morren. |
