Band : Electric Orange Electric Orange is considered by many to be one of the foremost representatives of neo kraut rock in Germany They play a very psychedelic kind of kraut rock that varies between long improvisations and jams and then to more structured and song-oriented tracks. It’s really a difficult task to describe what you will hear listening to the entire album. The album KrautrockFrom Hell consists of seven instrumental tracks, ranging from the five minute piece „Sundos“ to the 25-minute "Neuronomicon".The longest track is mainly a krautrock song from hell, with a flamenco-like intro and a long buildup, that has the feel of a slow horror march, the bass and mellotron providing spooky accents while the guitar and keyboard begin to play a quirky melody. Three further long songs elaborate on that tasty impro sound, combining elements of psychedelia, kraut and the occasional electronic elements. Lots of instruments (flute, piano, organ, moog, vocoder, mellotron, acoustic & electric guitars etc.), which is always nice, and there's a lot of variation in the mix, as the guys are not afraid to use some of the more exotic percussive instruments (bongos, tambourine, congas, timbales). It seems as if Electric Orange always have a couple of ideas for every song, around which they create agile improvisations that work all the time, proving that these are musicians that understand each others ideas and who are used in playing together 90/100 Cosmicmasseur. |
