Band : Coheed And Cambria Coheed And Cambria’s wide range of different but compatible-sounding styles and great execution make them a really strong unit. The line that is walked on this disc is razor fine and yet is walked with such amazing precision that it will make your jaw drop. The Geddy Lee-like singer is backed by a band that is playing layered, complex music that is somewhere between Rush, Led Zeppelin, Dillinger Escape Plan and The Mars Volta without being a carbon copy of either. Year Of The Black Rainbow is a strong, versatile album that defies any one classification and Coheed And Cambria is sure to have some more great concept albums coming out in future years. The album will be released by Columbia in both a standard format and a deluxe edition including a 352-page Year of the Black Rainbow novel, penned by the lead singer Claudio Sanchez and New York Times bestselling author Peter David. In Europe the album will be released by Roadrunner Records. 90/100 Cosmicmasseur. |
