Band : Crashdiet This band according to the biography exists since a few years, but I admit never having heard of them before. Upon seeing the CD cover I wondered what kind of music they were playing, and then when I saw the band photo I had even greater doubts about them. But upon playing the CD I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I was going to get pure sleazy Glam Rock, but that's not the case. On the contrary, they're more or less playing melodic Hard Rock, albeit with some sleazy influences seeping through. But nowhere as sleazy as Mötley Crüe or Poison where back in the eighties. According to the biography this band has had it's fair share of bad luck, their first singer Dave Lepard committing suicide in 2006, and his replacement Olliver Twisted pating ways with the band after their 2008 tour. Luckily they found a decent alternative in Simon Cruz. Tracks that stand above all others are "Rebel", "Armageddon", "Save her" and "Native Nature", but the other tracks are also not bad at all. 75/100 Erik Morren. |
