Krokus is a classic hard rock band from Solothurn, Switzerland, where the band was founded in 1974.

In the beginning of the eighties, Krokus achieved quite some success in Europe and the USA, which lead to sales of 13 million albums worldwide throughout their career.
The original line-up came back together after the Swiss television asked them in 2007 to perform in a television show and this lead to the reunion of the line-up from the “One Vice At A Time”-era, featuring singer Marc Storace, bass player Chris Von Rohr, guitar player Fernando Von Arb and drummer Freddy Steady.

And what made/makes Krokus so popular? The Swiss riff-rock band has a sound close to AC/DC, playing bluesy hard rock with riffs the brother Angus and Malcolm Young have a patent on and singer Marc Storace’s voice reminds us a lot of Bon Scott. As we all know, there is no expiration date for this kind of boogie woogie music.
“Hoodoo” is a trip down nostalgia lane, right back to the eighties, when Krokus released albums like for instance “Metal Rendez-Vous” (1980), “One Vice At A Time” (1982) and “Headhunter” (1983). Another proof of these old guys still kicking ass is the cover “Born To Be Wild” of Steppenwolf they recorded. Other highlights of the album are the opening track “Drive It In”, the first single “Hoodoo Woman”, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Handshake”, “Too Hot” (recognize the same opening riff as the song “Heaven’s On Fire” of Kiss?), "Keep Me Rolling”, “Shot Of Love” (you would almost sing along with “Highway To Hell”) and “Firestar”. That song will always be an indestructible classic. Hoodoo contains 11 songs and has a playing time of 42 minutes.

The coming months, Krokus play on a regular basis in Europe, but there are not yet any confirmed dates for the Benelux.
